10 Questions With Mark Hamill

Do you like this post?

Mark Hamill is Luke Skywalker. He is the Joker. He is also the Trickster. Mark Hamill has played some of my most favorite characters of all time. I was very fortunate and got to ask Mr. Hamill a few questions.

(Danniel Slade) Mark, thank you so much for taking the time to chat with me about your career. I want to start off by asking, what got you into acting?

(DS) Awesome! What was it like getting the role of Luke Skywalker?

(MH)  hamill

(DS) Did you sense that Star Wars was going to blow up like it did when you were filming?

(MH)  hamill

(DS) What is one memorable thing that happened on the set of the Original Trilogy or Episode VII?

(MH)  hamill

(DS) If you could go back to the beginning of filming, is there anything you would change about your performance or the character himself?

(MH)  hamill

(DS) Moving on from Star Wars, you played the Trickster in the 90s Flash television show. You recently reprised your role of the Trickster on CWs The Flash. What was it like coming back to that character after all those years?

(MH)  hamill

(DS) Your performance as the Trickster was epic! Where do you get your inspiration for the character? Does any part of him come from your years as the Joker?

(MH)  hamill

(DS) Speaking of the Joker, you have been in my opinion, the greatest incarnation of the character. You are coming back to voice him one last time in the Killing Joke, do you plan to continue voicing the character or is this the final curtain for the character?

(MH)  hamill

(DS) Out of all the characters you have played over the years, and there were many more then I mentioned here, what has been your favorite to play?

(MH)  hamill

(DS) Thank you so much for taking the time to chat with me, is there anything that else coming down that pipeline that our fans should look out for?

Okay, okay, I’ll admit that this was all in good fun. I really do hope to interview Mr. Hamill one day. Two future projects that are on the way are Batman: The Killing Joke, August 2, 2016 and Star Wars Episode VIII, December 15, 2017.

Mr. Hamill, if by chance you find this humorous and would be willing to let me interview you for real, please feel free to email me at danniel@templeofgeek.com.

Slade started Temple of Geek in 2012 with his friend as a podcast. Since then, it has become a lot more. His obsessions are Transformers, Star Wars, Classic Video Games, Superheroes, and comedies.

Slade’s life was turned to the Darkside when his father gave him a gift in 1985. He was presented with the leader of the Decepticons, Megatron. Since then, Slade has become a collector of the robots in disguise.

The only other thing that comes close to Slade’s love of Transformers is Star Wars. He has met a few of the cast over the years. Slade’s one goal in life is to meet with George Lucas and just discuss movies with him.
