San Diego Comic-Con International! The one weekend in July that the Geek &Nerd Universe looks forward to every year. The one weekend a year that a bunch of actors, producers, directors, writers, and artists can showcase their current and future projects.
We get special movie and tv show trailers and exclusive Q & A sessions with our favorite actors, writers, and directors. Comic-con also gives us access to exclusive swag and merchandise and some of the best artist prints money can buy. But what about for those of us who were not lucky enough to get tickets??? Well my friends that is why we have LOBBY CON!
For those of you who don’t know, Lobby-Con is what you do when you don’t have tickets. You can still cosplay, do interviews, and interact with attendees, but you just don’t get to go inside where all the panels, celebrities, and artist are.
What’s great about Comic-Con is that outside the con is just as AMAZING as inside. Nerdist always has something going on. This year it was Camp Conival at Petco Park – San Diego Padres baseball stadium.
This year’s Conival was camp themed. Nerdist & Geek and Sundry got together and invited some amazing celebrities to come to camp, such as Felicia Day, Misha Collins, the Cast of Sherlock, and so many more. Totally worth visiting next year. OH I forgot to mention IT IS FREE!!!
My friends and I also got to see the Wonder Woman 75th Anniversary celebration area. The Wonder Woman mural’s were beautiful.
I love art!
OH, my friends and I saw this super awesome replica or the actual statue, IDK, but Batman vs. Superman had a booth outside with the Batmobile and the Superman statue. IT WAS FREAKING COOL.
Oh and how about some free Fro-yo from The Good Place? The Good Place is a new sitcom coming to NBC starring Kristen Bell and Ted Danson.
Now on to my favorite part of cons… COSPLAYERS!!!
Cosplayers of Comic Con
We didn’t get the chance to capture a lot of cosplayers, but the ones we did get to see are AMAZING! Check it out!
I truly love how much time and effort and creativity people put into their cosplays. I wish we had taken some more pictures, but sadly we didn’t. Next con… Anyways, stay tuned for the Cosplay Connection interview I did with a Walking Dead cosplayer, she is pretty fabulous.
See you at the next con!
