Oscar predictions from the Temple

Oscars are tonight and what kind of geek site would we be if we didn’t have our own predictions on the ceremony later tonight. Jesse, Chris and I will post our prediction on the nights awards and go over our prediction’s on next weeks show.

These predictions do not reflect who we might think should win, but who we think will win.

Jeff’s predictions
Best Picture: The Departed
Best Director: Martin Scorsese
Best Actor Leading: Forest Whitaker
Best Actor Supporting: Eddie Murphy
Best Actress Leading: Helen Miren
Best Actress Suporrting: Jennnifer Hudson
Animated Feature: Cars
Documentary Feature: An Inconvenient Truth
Best Adapted Screenplay: Borat
I threw in the screenplay category because I think the Academy will find a way to honor this movie.

Chris’ predictions
Best Picture: Babel (Departed should)
Best Director: Martin Scorsese
Best Actor Leading: Forest Whitaker
Best Actor Supporting: Mark Wahlberg
Best Actress Leading: Helen Miren
Best Actress Suporrting: Jennnifer Hudson
Animated Feature: Cars

Jesse’s Predictions
Best Picture: Babel (yes, should be Departed)
Best Director: Babel (sorry Martin, I wish it was you)
Best Actor Leading: Forest Whitaker
Best Actor Supporting: Alan Arkin
Best Actress Leading: Helen Mirren
Best Actress Supporting: Abigail Breslin
Animated Feature: Cars (not that I saw it OR care :P )
Film Editing: Children of Men (should win, but probably won’t)

I threw in Film editing because of all the great movies that were nominated…and cuz I love Children of Men :(
