A Tim Allen Celebration

Do you like this post?

In 1995, an animated feature film created by Pixar was released to the world. This movie brought to life what a child’s imagination could only dream of. This movie also gave us two of the most iconic characters voiced by two well-known actors. When you think Toy Story, you think Buzz Lightyear and Woody and you think Tim Allen and Tom Hanks.

The happiness that I feel from the above picture is indescribable. My childhood is what I see right there. Tim Allen has been a part of my life for a long time. He is a Colorado born actor who has been making us laugh, cry, and smile since 1975. He started out as a comedian doing stand-up shows for years. But in 1991, he landed the perfect role that I remember seeing him in for the first time. In Home Improvement he was known as Tim “The Tool-Man” Taylor. I vividly remember watching this show every week and I still love watching re-runs once the show ended in 1999.

Oh the happiness! And the laughter.

Tim Allen has been making us laugh until we cried for years on the big and small screen. And I am thankful for every moment I have laughed so hard I couldn’t breathe and for the few times he has given a performance that has brought me to tears… Toy Story 3 still makes me cry every single time.

But the reason we are having A Tim Allen Celebration:

Therefore, I feel that it is important that we take a moment to celebrate, not just by watching Toy Story for the billionth time, but by maybe watching The Santa Clause (even though its June) or Galaxy Quest or Jungle 2 Jungle or ALL 9 seasons of Home Improvement. Any or ALL these choices would be a spectacular choice.

Okay, Does everyone know what time it is???? TOOL TIME!

The Santa Clause – 1994

Toy Story – 1995

Jungle 2 Jungle – 1997 (not the best quality)

Toy Story 2 – 1999

Toy Story 3 – 2010

Buzz’s Spanish Mode!

There are so many more movies we could add, but these are the ones that really resonated with me for sure.

Happy Birthday Tim Allen! We can’t wait to hear your voice again in Toy Story 4! But until then keep flying
