Luke Cage Panel – Stan Lee’s LA Comic Con 2016

Do you like this post?

Below are highlights from the Luke Cage panel at Stan Lee’s LA Comic Con 2016.

Stan Lee’s LA Comic Con 2016 had quite the turn out this year. Formerly known as Comikaze, this year’s convention took Los Angeles, California by storm.

The above panel was just one of many standing room only panels to take over the convention. Unlike other comic con’s we did not have to sleep outside to catch a glimpse of Mike Coulter from Netflix’s Luke Cage.

The Hot Topic Main Stage was the place to be this year. Luke Cage is quite the addition to the Marvel Netflix universe and Mike Coulter was the perfect choice.

Luke Cage – The Panel

We really enjoyed this panel in many ways. Mike Coulter discussed the way in which his character was introduced in Jessica Jones. He spoke some about his role as a boyfriend with super powers to a woman with super powers. That is, of course, an interesting mix to have.

Additionally, it is a significant step forward to see how successful Luke Cage and Jessica Jones have become. Both show’s have pushed social issues and gender differences to the forefront. Both character’s are heroes that viewers can look up to.

Mike Coutler seems like a truly humble and wonderful person. We are so grateful that he was able to stop by the convention, answer fan questions, and talk with the audience. Even Stan Lee popped in to say hello. Sadly, we got so excited we stopped recording 🙁

We are looking forward to The DefendersLuke Cage season 2, of course and hopefully a Heroes for Hire season.

All in all, this was an excellent panel. Let us know what you think. Comment below. Give our video a thumbs up and subscribe to our channel for more.
