Marvel Collector Corps – April

Do you like this post?

It finally arrived!! The official Marvel subscription service that will rival the likes of Loot Crate and Nerd Block celebrated its debut this week. Temple of Geek received ours this week and I must say, I am quite impressed.

This subscription service which is produced by Funko, the creator of the popular POP! vinyl figures. This subscription service will ship every other month for $25.00 a box.

This month’s box was themed Avengers in preparation for the summer blockbuster Avengers: Age of Ultron. In this box we received several cool and exclusive items.

First up, we have the exclusive HulkBuster POP! vinyl figure from Funko. This is one of the heaviest POP! figures I have ever held. This is a massive figure and would look great in anyone’s collection.

The second vinyl figure included in the box. This is the Dorbz exclusive of the new figurines coming soon from Funko. From what I understand, everyone got the Ultron figurine. For those of you that received this box, did you get the same?

This is the variant cover for Avengers/Guardians Team-up #1. Great book so make sure you give it a read!

One item that will be included in every box will be a tee-shirt with one of four designs. This months release is the Avengers Vs. Ultron. The one I received was Hulk Vs. Ultron. The other three designs are Thor Vs. Ultron, Captain America Vs. Ultron, and Ironman Vs. Ultron. Which design did you get?

Upon opening of the box, you are treated to a patch and pin that has the Collector Corp name on both. The patch features the face of Ultron while the pin features Captain America. I believe this might be included in every box sort of like LootCrate’s monthly button.

So, my recommendation is to give this box a shot. This premiere box has a lot of items to get me excited for future releases. There is enough in here to warrant the $25.00 cost. I am definitely excited to be a member of this subscription service!

Slade started Temple of Geek in 2012 with his friend as a podcast. Since then, it has become a lot more. His obsessions are Transformers, Star Wars, Classic Video Games, Superheroes, and comedies.

Slade’s life was turned to the Darkside when his father gave him a gift in 1985. He was presented with the leader of the Decepticons, Megatron. Since then, Slade has become a collector of the robots in disguise.

The only other thing that comes close to Slade’s love of Transformers is Star Wars. He has met a few of the cast over the years. Slade’s one goal in life is to meet with George Lucas and just discuss movies with him.
