Good Day Everyone!!!! Stan Lee’s LA Comic Con is fast approaching, which means we get to hear all about new things in the works like TV series & films. Press Releases are a joyous thing.
For instance, we just heard about a new series that has begun shooting its Principal Photography. This new 6-part series is co-produced by Saffron Pictures, Soho Moon and Facet4 Media, is an official Ireland/Canada co-production.
Acceptable Risk is a contemporary thriller set in the high stakes world of Big Pharma. Shooting takes place in Dublin and Montreal through to the end of December 2016.
This original series is written by Emmy® Award winner Ron Hutchinson (Traffic; The Ten Commandments & Murderers Among Us: The Simon Wiesenthal Story) and is being directed by Kenny Glenaan (Charlie; Paranoid; Noah’s Ark & Wired).
Acceptable Risk stars an international cast including:Elaine Cassidy (Harper’s Island; No Offence), Angeline Ball (Mr. Selfridge; The Commitments), Lisa Dwyer Hogg (Waking the Dead; The Fall) and Morten Suurballe (The Killing; Vikings).
Additionally, Acceptable Risk is being produced for RTÉ by Siobhán Bourke and Kathryn Lennon of Saffron Pictures (Whistleblower) and James Mitchell of Soho Moon Pictures (Croupier) with funding from the Broadcast Authority of Ireland.
Canadian Producers are Stephen Greenberg, Jamie Greenberg and Anna-Sue Greenberg all of Facet4 Media.
What is being said about this new series?

Well, we are quite interesting is seeing where this new series takes us. I am quite thrilled with the casting, to be honest. I remember seeing Elaine Cassidy in Harper’s Island, which was a pretty good show. I also remember Angeline Bell from My Girl 2 – she played Veda’s actress mom.
Anyways, I am definitely looking forward to learning more about this show in the new future.
