The Nintendo World Championship is back! Tonight we were introduced to the 16 contestants by our host Kevin Pereira.  Those contestants are:

ROUND ONE!

After 2 fierce rounds, TRIHEX, ESSENTIA, PACKIE, JOHN NUMBERS, COSMO, SINISTER1, TIMZY88 AND JKSNBLKSN will be progressing to round 2. There is still one more round of Splatoon to see who is moving on in the underground.

STAGE 1 ELIMINATION

This is a speed run. The fastest player progresses to the next round.

Kevin Pereira is set to announce the next round. We are learning that this is going to be a game that no one has played before.

Round 2

This is a new IP by Nintendo. The players each climb into a mech and play a soccer like game. The winners in the first round are TRIHEX, COSMOS, BANANAS, and ARIN.

The second stage of Blastball is complete. We have our winners and now know who is moving into Round 3. Those contestants are TRIHEX, COSMOS, BANANAS, ARIN, JOHN NUMBERS, JKSNBLKSN, MAD MAGE, and PACKIE

STAGE 2 ELIMINATION

Is a speed run being played by BSG4000, SINISTER1, ESSENTIA, FERNSIG01, and TIMZY88.

SINISTER1 wins the underground elimination!

ROUND 3

The first race is going between ARIN, BANANAS, COSMO and TRIHEX. They will be racing in the Leaf Cup at 200cc! This is going to be intense!

The second race is between JKSNBLKSN, PACKIE, MAD MAGE, and JOHN NUMBERS  They too will be racing in the Leaf Cup at 200cc

The winners are TRIHEX, MAD MAGE, JOHN NUMBERS. We are now getting ready to see the last Underground Elimination.

 STAGE 3 ELIMINATION

This is going to be won by the player who collects the most points.

First round is going to be played by JKSNBLKSN, BANANAS, and PACKIE.

Second round is ARIN, COSMO, and SINISTER 1.

The winner of this FINAL UNDERGROUD ELIMINATION IS COSMO!

ROUND 4

This fourth round of the competition will be between COSMO, TRIHEX, MAD MAGE, and JOHN NUMBERS.

It appears that Reggie Fils-Aims will be playing against the winner of the Smash Bros tournament from last year, Hungry Box before the match.

The winner is HUNGRY BOX!!

And now back to the competition. Two rounds of four players each.

The winner of Round 1 is JOHN NUMBERS! Now for round two.

Round 2 is over. We now know our final two contestants.

The final round will be between JOHN NUMBERS and COSMO!

 FINAL ROUND!

The mission here is to make it through 4 custom stages in Super Mario Maker. Up first is COSMO.

This looks insane! Cosmo made good distance but did not make it to the end. Let’s see how John Numbers does.

HOLY SH!T!!!!

JOHN NUMBERS beats the stage!

John Numbers is up first in the second stage which is modeled after Super Mario Bros 3.

COSMO is coming up now to take his crack at the second stage. COSMO makes a come back and takes the second stage!

The third stage is modeled after Super Mario World. Cosmo is up first. He clears it with little to no issue.

JOHN NUMBERS clears the stage as well. We are now at the final round!

AND THE WINNER OF 2015 NINTENDO WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP is

JOHN NUMBERS!!

Mr. Miyamoto came out on stage to congratulate both winners with a signed NEW Nintendo DS.
