We have the greatest fans in this or any other galaxy. In appreciation of the fans, we wanted them to be the first to know the title of the next chapter in the Skywalker saga: STAR WARS: THE LAST JEDI.
Nothing else was revealed about the movie as of yet. So what do you think the movie is going to be about? What do you thing the title indicates? We want to hear from you, so comment below and lets start discussing!
Star Wars Episode 8: The Last Jedi is written and directed by Rian Johnson and produced by Kathleen Kennedy and Ram Bergman and executive produced by J.J. Abrams, Jason McGatlin, and Tom Karnowski.
Star Wars Episode 8: The Last Jedi is scheduled for release December 15, 2017.
I think on the surface it refers to Luke. The deeper meaning could be that Rey will be the last Jedi. I am still holding out for Rey to be seduced by the darkside and Kylo Ren is redeemed by destroying Snoke. Ren has done some pretty terrible things, but I would love to see him transform into a hero. The drama, dialogue, and action would be off the charts. I like the idea of Rey being a Kenobi. I really don’t want to see a chosen one reincarnation thing. I think that breaches to far back into the Prequals which Disney has tried to ignore successfully. I have a feeling this movie will exceed expectations, but a major twist will end up severly dividing the fanbase.
I am hoping for some sort of corruption of one of the “Jedi,” whether it be Luke or Rey.
