Temple of Geek also learned that Verizon gave 100 lucky Comic Con attendees (+ guest) access to the surprise concert, just for being a Verizon customer! Another way Verizon is helping fans gear up for the highly-anticipated film through amazing content and exclusive offers.

Being led to the stage by Stormtroopers outside, each person was given a lanyard and a lightsaber in the color of their choice.

The San Diego Symphony was on stage set, and ready to go. JJ Abrams and Kathleen Kennedy took to the stage to welcome fans and introduce the cast.

The concert started with a special video introduction with STAR WARS composer John Williams. After William’s stated “May the Force be with you,” the San Diego Symphony started to play the STAR WARS main theme. From there, the concert was in full swing.

The concert ended with a bang! No, I mean literally a bang due to the amazing fireworks that were fired off.

This was just amazing of Disney and Lucas Films to put this on for the fans. You hear people all the time at Comic Con stating that they “Do it for the Fans.” That saying is so clichéd at these events, but I believe that when JJ Abrams says he, he truly means it. Hats off to you Mr. Abrams! Star Wars: The Force Awakens arrives in your galaxy on December 18th 2015.
