The Super-Flash Musical Crossover – Coming Soon

I know musicals might not be your thing, but this is a musical crossover event you don’t want to miss. With so much musical talent on Supergirl and The Flash how could The CW possibly pass up a chance to showcase that.

We’ve only had a taste of the raw talent of these remarkable actors since both of these shows began. For instance, Barry Allen did a little karaoke with Caitlin Snow back in season 1 and Joe West was a jazz lounge singer on Earth 2.

So it is very clear that there is some seriously talented singers on this show already. I hope that many of you are aware that several of the other cast members from these shows also have backgrounds in music. For instance, many of you are aware that Grant Gustin (Barry Allen) was on Glee, but so was our Supergirl, Melissa Benoist.

I know this is not full Melissa, but this video is one of my favorites with her. Join these 3 very talented singers will be Jeremy Jordan (Winn – Supergirl), Carlos Valdes (Cisco – The Flash), Victor Garber (Dr. Stein – Legends), and John Barrowman (Malcolm Merlyn – Arrow). As for our villain this week, none other than the extremely talented Darren Criss will be stepping into the shoes of the Music Meister.

Personally, I am a very big fan of Darren’s. I have been for quite a while. He is an extremely talented musician and actor, so I am very excited for this. Also, this musical crossover will be like a mini Glee/Starkid reunion. I do believe Carlos Valdes was in Me and My Dick, a Starkid production, which as you know did A Very Potter Musical.

But, yeah! I hope every one is ready for the razzle dazzle.

The Musical Crossover

Plot:

Barry and Team Flash are surprised when Mon-El and Hank Henshaw arrive on Earth 1 carrying a comatose Supergirl who was whammied by the Music Meister. Unable to wake her, they turn to Team Flash to save her. However, the Music Meister surprises The Flash and puts him into a similar coma, one that Team Flash can’t cure. Kara and Barry wake up without their powers in an alternate reality where life is like a musical and the only way to escape is by following the script, complete with singing and dancing, to the end.  – Arrowverse Wiki

Duet (The Flash episode) is directed by Dermott Downs and will feature songs written by Rachel Bloom (Crazy Ex-Girlfriend), and Benj Pasek and Justin Paul (La La Land). *EEEEEEEEEP

In the end, I know this episode is going to be amazing! I can’t wait to watch all the singing and dancing. And last but not least for the listening pleasure, here are a few of my favorite videos featuring the cast of this musical episode singing.

These episodes will air Monday 3/20 & Tuesday 3/21! WOOOOO
