If you’ve played previous games in The Walking Dead Telltale series, or you’re just a fan of the show, I’m sure you’ve heard of the newest iteration in the series. The Walking Dead: New Frontier puts you in the shoes of a new protagonist, Javier, but you meet up with Clementine in time so as to keep a familiar feel.
You don’t have to play the first two games to enjoy this one. You can load your Walking Dead save or write a new story with a short walkthrough of choices from the earlier games.
Only the first two episodes are available at the moment, so there’s much of the story left to tell. The first two episodes provide a little over an hour or so of game time, which seems a bit shorter than other Telltale games. That’s not a lot of time to get to know the new characters, but hopefully we’ll learn a bit more with the release of Episode 3 on March 28th. If you want to hear more about this game and why video game movies suck tune in to this weeks Retro Rebel Gamecast.
