As the search for General Drel’s hidden room gets underway at Solsein Divine Academy, Klen finds himself right in the middle of the intrigue. Disguised in human form, Klen is actually Clevatess, the powerful Demon King and King of Demonic Beasts of the South. In this new season, Klen serves as Luna’s magic teacher while accompanying Alicia on her mission to investigate the secrets left behind after the war.
Morgan Berry voices the human alias of Klen, navigating the character’s shifting traits. While actor Sean handles the powerful beast form of Clevatess, Berry focuses on Klen’s composure, underlying authority, and gradually emerging empathy. Berry explains that while Klen never intended to become a protective figure, his journey alongside Luna and Alicia has naturally fostered a subtle softness beneath his formidable exterior. “I feel like he’s filled the role of this temporary father figure, whether he wants to or not,” Berry observes. “That wasn’t his goal… but I do feel there is a sense of care there that is developing, and I would love to see more of that.”
A Storied Career in Voice Acting and Music
Berry is a professional voice actor, singer, and director with a long list of credits across prominent anime series, video games, animated films, and web content. Fans recognize Berry’s work across major franchises such as My Hero Academia, Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End, Pokémon, Dragon Ball, Fire Emblem, One Piece, Inuyasha, and Beyblade.

Beyond voice work, Berry is an accomplished recording artist and online creator known as The Unknown Songbird, a YouTube channel that has accumulated over 10 million views. Berry maintains a strong connection with audiences across platforms like Instagram, X, and TikTok.
Stepping Into the Character
Recording primarily in-studio at Crunchyroll in Dallas, Berry relies heavily on directorial guidance, client specifications, and original Japanese performances to shape Klen. “I really have to go off of the details that I’m given from the director, from the client, from the audition specs,” Berry shares. “I want to embody the character in the way that the creator envisioned, and so I can’t always put myself into a character because sometimes I am just too different.” Hearing playback from castmates like Wetch during sessions helps solidify the chemistry between the characters, bringing the dark fantasy of Clevatess II to life. “When you’re previewing the scene in Japanese, or you can sometimes get to hear the other actors’ English voices, and so you have something to work off of in those moments,” Berry notes. “It’s definitely a treat to see that come together before it airs.”
You can watch Clevatess Season 2 online exclusively on Crunchyroll, which offers episodes with both subtitles and dubs in multiple languages.
