Inspired by the vicious and lively world of CD Projekt Red’s latest RPG, the GUNNAR Cyberpunk Dex glasses both look straight out of the games and help you play for longer. Priced at $125, the glasses come in two lens colors (Amber and Amber Max). Furthermore, using GUNNAR’s signature blue-light blocking tech, it negates many of the negative effects of long screen time like eye strain.
A few months ago, I was sent a pair of the GUNNAR Cyberpunk Dex glasses and, ever since, I’ve been testing it just about daily. From playing games for review to late-night work, the visor-like eyewear certainly has been through a lot. In fact, I am wearing them as I write this review! While there are some personal nitpicks with them, the Cyberpunk Dex glasses are a worthwhile investment for those who like to keep scrolling and look good doing it.

I’ll be honest, I have worn GUNNAR glasses in the past, as I did get a pair of the Call of Duty Ghost glasses back in 2024. I used those a ton, mostly for doing computer work, especially at night. While they were nice, the tint on them faded a bit and it became a little uncomfortable to wear. Still, it did get me through times where, if I wasn’t wearing them, I’d have quite the headache.
When I got the Cyberpunk Dex glasses, I immediately compared and contrasted. The first thing I noticed, as will anyone who gets it, is that the lens connects in the middle. There aren’t two separate lens, but one interconnecting one. As someone who moves around a lot, having all corners and lines of my vision covered was great. Though, there were a handful of times I’d push my glasses up like normal and smudge the middle, which did get distracting.
In terms of the design, it does look strikingly similar to Dex’s glasses in Cyberpunk 2077. It’s thick yet slim and does have that futuristic look to it. While the character is far from a hero in the game, there’s no denying he had some stylish eyewear. Plus, with the Amber Max lenses, nobody can see through my glasses, but I can see everything. Furthermore, it doesn’t look out of place and I could see myself go out in public with it.
I will say that, despite being pretty durable, it can smudge pretty easily. My previous pair smudged at the slightest touch. While it doesn’t happen as easily with the Cyberpunk Dex glasses, I do find myself cleaning them more often that I would like. Still, I have dropped these a few times and, so far, there’s been no scratches, scruffs, or chips at all.

In addition, I wear contacts and, more often than not, the glasses can make them dry up a bit faster. The design, which doesn’t leave much empty space around the eyes, may be a cause for it. As someone who wears contacts regularly, it did pose a bit of a distraction for long gaming sessions or writing marathons. Currently, the glasses aren’t prescription-based, so it being a nuisance for my contacts is a bit disappointing.
Ultimately, the GUNNAR Cyberpunk Dex glasses are a great addition to your glasses roster if you’re an avid gamer or computer user. Not only do you get a stylish design, but the blue-light-blocking tech helps you do what you love for longer without the annoying headache and eye strain that can come from it. While it isn’t the most friendly to contact users and can smudge quick, it’s more proof that GUNNAR is still one of the best gaming-friendly glasses companies on the market.
