20th Century Fox just released a teaser for the new film in the Predator franchise. The Predator is directed by Shane Black. It will be released September 14th 2018. Take a look at the trailer below.
OFFICIAL SYNOPSIS
From the outer reaches of space to the small-town streets of suburbia, the hunt comes home in Shane Black’s explosive reinvention of the Predator series. Now, the universe’s most lethal hunters are stronger, smarter and deadlier than ever before, having genetically upgraded themselves with DNA from other species. When a young boy accidentally triggers their return to Earth, only a ragtag crew of ex-soldiers and a disgruntled science teacher can prevent the end of the human race.
WHAT ARE THE FANS SAYING?
I do hope it’s good. The actors didn’t really get it for me. The Predator looked too plain. Previous predators had details to their skin an armor to differentiate them. I’m still gonna see this movie, nonetheless.

Huge Shane Black fan, but I’m not on board yet, something about it does look off & don’t know what the tone is, but just could be the trailer (like the 1st Venom trlr). Am eager to see how Black’s style meshes with the Predator universe in the long run though.

THE PREDATOR trailer starts off almost a tad Spielberg/Amblin-esque with the kid, then veers into Predator. Not what we are used to with this franchise, but I’m up for them switching it up a bit & subvert expectations which Shane Black is known for.
