This holiday season, Disney+ invites LEGO and Star Wars fans to Chewbacca’s homeworld of Kashyyyk for a Wookiee-sized celebration of the galaxy’s most cheerful and magical holiday, Life Day, in the LEGO Star Wars Holiday Special, premiering exclusively on the service on Tuesday, November 17.
If you aren’t familiar with the Lego animated movies you are in for a treat. Lego has a long line of fun animated shorts and films. LEGO products are sold worldwide and can be virtually explored at www.LEGO.com.
Disney+ is the dedicated streaming home for movies and shows from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, National Geographic, and more. The service is available on most internet-connected devices and offers commercial-free programming with a variety of original feature-length films, documentaries, live-action, and animated series and short-form content.
The LEGO Star Wars Holiday Special
This special will reunite Rey, Finn, Poe, Chewie, Rose, and the droids for a joyous feast on Life Day, a holiday first introduced in 1978. The new LEGO special is the first to debut on Disney+ and will continue the rich legacy of collaboration between Lucasfilm and LEGO—playful adventures told in the endearingly irreverent way that only LEGO Star Wars co-branded content can.
Following the events of “Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker,” Rey leaves her friends to prepare for Life Day as she sets off on a new adventure with BB-8. She hopes to gain a deeper knowledge of the Force. But before she can she is hurled into a cross-timeline adventure through beloved moments in Star Wars cinematic history. Where she will be coming into contact with Luke Skywalker, Darth Vader, Yoda, Obi-Wan, and other icons from all nine Skywalker saga films.
Advent Calendar & Sticker Book
The adventure continues at home with the release of the LEGO Star Wars Advent Calendar. The Advent Calendar features holiday-themed characters from the special. It will be available on September 1st. There will also be a release of a LEGO Star Wars Holiday sticker book.
