Temple of Geek Podcast – Episode 180 Season Two Return of “The Boys”

Welcome to the Temple of Geek Podcast! In this episode, our host Aaron Powell is joined by Nate a.k.a. Doc In The Box to talk about the season two return of The Boys on Amazon Prime Video. They will be discussing the first three episodes of season two with minor spoilers. Giving their thoughts on what they think about the kick-off to the new season, comparisons to the comics, and what they think of some of the new Supes.

Aaron Powell is joined by Nate a.k.a. Doc In The Box to talk about the season two return of The Boys on Amazon Prime Video. This episode will have some major season one spoilers and some minor season two spoilers. Listeners are advised. You’ll find them casually chatting about what they think about the kick-off to the new season, comparisons to the comics, and what they think of some of the new Supes.

Season Two of The Boys

This season starts off a little differently as Amazon Prime Video has decided not to release the entire season all at once. Instead, the second season of THE BOYS will premiere with the first three episodes on Friday, September 4, and new episodes available each Friday following, culminating in a season finale on October 9.

In hiding in a low lit basement, sitting on a couch, Hughie (Jack Quaid), Mother’s Milk (Laz Alonso), Frenchie (Tomer Capon), and Kimiko is also known as The Female (Karen Fukuhara) are staring directly at the camera, covered in dirt and blood.

Season 2 finds The Boys on the run from the law, hunted by the Supes, and desperately trying to regroup and fight back against Vought. In hiding, Hughie (Jack Quaid), Mother’s Milk (Laz Alonso), Frenchie (Tomer Capon), and Kimiko is also known as The Female (Karen Fukuhara) try to adjust to a new normal, with Butcher (Karl Urban) nowhere to be found.

The Supes of The Seven L-R The Deep (Chace Crawford), Queen Maeve (Dominique McElligott), Stormfront (Aya Cash), Homelander (Antony Starr), Starlight (Erin Moriarty), Black Noir (Nathan Mitchell), and A-Train (Jessie T. Usher).

Meanwhile, Starlight (Erin Moriarty) must navigate her place in The Seven as Homelander (Antony Starr) sets his sights on taking complete control. His power is threatened with the addition of Stormfront (Aya Cash), a social-media-savvy new Supe, who has an agenda of her own. On top of that, the Supervillain threat takes center stage and makes waves as Vought seeks to capitalize on the nation’s paranoia.

The eight-episode Amazon Original series will be available exclusively on Prime Video in more than 240 territories around the world and is produced by Amazon Studios and Sony Pictures Television Studios with Point Grey Pictures, Kripke Enterprises, and Original Film.
