There are a few ways to put together a Millie (a.k.a. Molotov Girl) from “Free Guy” Costume or Cosplay and we’ve listed everything you need. In Twentieth-Century Studios’ hilarious and heartwarming adventure-comedy “Free Guy,” Ryan Reynolds stars as a bank teller named Guy who discovers he is actually a background player in an open-world video game, and Jodie Comer stars as Millie Rusk, a brilliant video game designer who comes into Guy’s life.

Where to buy Millie’s “Molotov Girl” Costume
The simplest way is to just buy one. Which we have provided links and suggestions on how to do that. The other way is to make your own. We have provided reference photos for you to put together your own cosplay of Millie. There are plenty of places to purchase a costume like this. You can purchase it at a cosplay-specific shop as a set. Sites like Cossky and Sky Costumes offer complete one-click outfits sets. Although it does appear that it is the same set available at Amazon. And it’s very likely it came from the same manufacturer. As the movie begins growing in popularity, more cosplay shops may begin to offer their own versions of this outfit.
Your other option for this costume is buying individual pieces from different places. This is a great option if you are looking for higher quality. The majority of her costume can be pieced together from shopping thrift stores, amazon, and local retailers. And if you know how, by making the pieces yourself.
Outfit Breakdown
Here is the breakdown of everything Milly wears. If you’re looking for more screen accuracy, the reference photos below to help you shop. Download the photos to your phone or bookmark this article for easy reference while shopping.
Wig
Finding this exact wig will be difficult. The brown bob wig is cut in a way that has two long strands in the front and lots of layers throughout. In my opinion, any wavy short brown wig would be recognizable. But if you really want to get the exact look, you could purchase a long hair wig and have it cut and shaped to look more like the one Jodie Comer wears as Milly.
Aviator Style Sunglasses
The sunglasses Milly wears look to be aviator-style with rose-colored ombre-shaded lenses.
Burgundy Bandana Scarf
It’s hard to tell from the reference photos if her scarf is a bandana or an actual scarf. Searching with the terms for both Bandana and Scarf may help increase your chances of finding something you feel works for your costume. You could even try the search term gaiter.
Long-Sleeved Open Front Top
The top will most likely be the hardest part of the costume to find. The search terms I recommend trying are “Collared Wrap-Front Shirt“. Most of what you find online may have to be adjusted or altered in some way.
Chest Plate and Body Armor
There are plenty of chest protectors available online, But the majority will most likely look bulky and may not have the same design that appears in Milly’s costume. Keep in mind that movie costumes are intended to look good and not necessarily be functional. This may be something that you can DIY. Creating foam armor is a practical way to create this look. Painting over fabric is also an option.
Belt Attached Suspenders, Black belt, and gun holster
So far the closest match to the Belt suspender has been the Metal Buckle PU Leather Suspender by Shein. This may be something you can make by piecing together belts you already have at home.
The gun holster is something you can find on several cosplay sites as well as functional ones at Military surplus stores. But the functional holsters won’t look like the ones worn in the film. You are safer purchasing a costume leg gun holster.
Pants
The pants that Milly wears are clearly custom-made. To try and replicate this look, I suggest searching for Faux leather brown pants and knee pads. You can try gluing the knee pads to the pants or sewing them in place.
Tall Black Boots
The last thing you’ll need is some tall black boots. Milly’s has ribbing and buckles.
