On MARVEL’s stage at New York Comic Con, Game studio Kabam announced a wave of brand new playable content, LIVE activities, and upcoming plans for their award-winning mobile fighter, MARVEL Contest Champions!

Kabam unveiled their first-ever original First Nations Hero Chee’ilth. Created and inspired by First Nations people, Chee’ilth has been endowed with fighting strength from Brother Grizzly and the skill to heal from Sister Eagle, Spirits tied to her heritage. You can view a behind-the-scenes look at the creation of Chee’ilth HERE. Chee’ilth will be launching in-game this November. Also, Kabam and MARVEL have collaborated to create an original comic illustrating Chee’ilth’s origin.
Next, Kabam prepares to host their first-ever LIVE fan celebration event and tournament, Battlerealm Brawl, next week. The tournament will take place in the Vancouver area at The Gaming Stadium (Richmond, BC) on October 20 and 21. Players from around the world have competed to earn a chance to win the title of the ultimate Battlerealm Brawl Champion. Now, the top 8 have been chosen and are ready for battle! Fans can acquire tickets for free to attend in person or tune into Kabam’s Twitch as they Livestream the tournament that weekend.
Also, Act 8 introduces custom villains unique to Marvel Contest of Champions. Players have the opportunity to face Scytalis, the dark version of Natasha Romanov; Bahamet, the dark version of Bruce Banner; and now Cerastes, the dark version of Tony Stark this October! Cerastes is the new Act 8.3 boss. Act 8.3 will be live in-game on October 18th.
