The featurette includes interviews with director Marc Webb, costume designer Sandy Powell, Zegler and Gadot. They discussed how the original 1937 Disney princess animated film inspired many scenes and costume/set design choices.

“There’s so much from this animated movie that we have taken from and used as our own,” Zegler said.

Some scenes that are parallel to the original 1937 film include Snow White with animals, dance sequences featuring the Seven Dwarfs, and many other scenes.

For the live action, Benj Pasek and Justin Paul created brand new songs. Jeff Morrow composed the original score. Additional casting includes Andrew Burnap (Jonathan), Andrew Barth Feldman (Dopey), Tituss Burgess (Bashful), Martin Klebba (Grumpy), Jason Kravits (Sneezy), George Salazar (Happy), Jeremy Swift (Doc), and Andrew Grotelueschen (Sleepy).

In a press release, Webb expressed his excitement for “Snow White” fans to see the live action:

“I am so excited for audiences and fans around the world to see this sneak peek and to revisit the magical world of Snow White. Our goal has always been to honor the original animated film, and we are extremely grateful to the team of amazing artists – from puppeteers to voice actors and motion capture technicians – for bringing these magical, charming characters to life in such a unique way.”

“The story is fantastic, the music is incredible, and I can’t wait for the world to see it,” Gadot said in the featurette.
