Aleks Le Reflects on the Massive Success of “Demon Slayer” at the 53rd Annual Saturn Awards

At the 53rd Annual Saturn Awards, Temple of Geek, spoke with some of the biggest names in science fiction, fantasy, and horror. Among the many stars in attendance was voice actor Aleks Le, who shared his thoughts on the global phenomenon of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba, and its award-winning film, Infinity Castle.

Hosted by Joel McHale, this year’s ceremony honored the best in genre entertainment with a star-studded guest list and historic special awards. The red carpet was a whirlwind of talent as creators, performers, and industry leaders gathered for the most anticipated annual celebration of science fiction, fantasy, horror, superhero, and action-adventure storytelling.

Early Days and “Demon Slayer” Beginnings

Speaking with Temple of Geek, Le recalled his early days on the project as Zenitsu Agatsuma, noting that he was brand new to the industry when he first joined the series. Watch the full interiewhere:

Le admitted that seeing established names on the cast list initially signaled that the show was significant, but the level of its eventual success was still a shock. While the team had noticed the show’s impact online even before they began their work, Le emphasized that they had no idea it would grow to such a massive scale.

The actor also participated in some lighthearted fun during the interview, joining fellow cast members in reacting to humorous “wrong names” for the series’ protagonist, Tanjiro. Le and his colleagues expressed their gratitude for the fans’ support before heading into the ceremony to celebrate the best in genre entertainment.
