All new ‘Jujutsu Kaisen 0’ trailer and images released from Crunchyroll

Jujutsu Kaisen 0 is the upcoming prequel film to the hit-anime series Jujutsu Kaisen. Crunchyroll has unveiled a third trailer along with stunning new images. It will hit theaters March 18th in both English dub and subtitled.

Jujutsu Kaisen 0 follows Yuta Okkotsu, a nervous high school student, who enrolls in the mysterious Tokyo Jujutsu High School under the guidance of Satoru Gojo. He does so after being haunted by the curse of his childhood friend. The film is based on the prequel manga with the same title from JUMP COMICS/Shueisha.

Yuta Okkotsu and his childhood friend, Rika Orimoto, make a promise to get married to each other when they grow up. However, Yuta witnesses a traffic accident involving Rika. This accident ultimately leads to Rika’s death. Rika becomes an apparition, and Yuta longed for his own death after suffering under her curse. The greatest Jujutsu sorcerer, Satoru Gojo, soon welcomes him into Jujutsu High.

Yuta meets his classmates, Maki Zen’in, Toge Inumaki, and Panda, and finally finds his own determination. Maki, Toge, and Panda are the second-years at Jujutsu High in the anime Jujutsu Kaisen. Viewers of the anime meet these three characters briefly in Episode 5, titled, “Fearsome Womb, Part 2.”

The Jujutsu Kaisen anime series is based on the best-selling Shonen Jump manga of the same title. It won several Crunchyroll Anime Awards for 2022. Among those awards included best fight scene, best character design, and best action. In 2021, Jujutsu Kaisen won anime of the year. The series is available for streaming on both Funimation and Crunchyroll in both sub and dub.

The dark fantasy film from TOHO Animation will arrive in more than 1500 theaters nationwide. Jujutsu Kaisen 0 will also be released in select U.S. based IMAX® theaters. Tickets for the highly-anticipated film are on sale in the United States and Canada.
