Amazon Prime Video’s free fan experience inspired by The Aeronauts

On November 23 and 24 from 12-8 pm, Amazon Prime Video will be taking over The Rose Bowl for a free, immersive fan experience inspired by The Aeronauts film, starring Eddie Redmayne and Felicity Jones. Families, schemers, dreamers and altitude enthusiasts of all ages will be thrilled by The Aeronauts’ Incredible Journey – a sprawling Victorian fair featuring period performers and bites, and a replica of the “Mammoth” balloon (as featured in the film). If you’ve ever wanted to ride in a hot air balloon, then this is your chance! There is a photo booth, activities, costumes on display and much more. Attendees of the Rose Bowl and in Phoenix will enjoy a world’s first at the Fly-In Theatre: a breathtaking 20-foot LED screen wrapped 360 degrees around a second hot air balloon. This family-friendly event is definitely worth visiting. Please visit  aeronautsjourney.com to RSVP for the event.

Watch the film

The Aeronauts is set in Victorian era 1862. A daredevil balloon pilot Amelia Wren (Felicity Jones) teams up with pioneering meteorologist James Glaisher (Eddie Redmayne) to advance human knowledge of the weather and fly higher than anyone in history. While breaking records and furthering scientific discovery, their voyage to the very edge of existence helps the unlikely pair find their place in the world they have left far below. But they face physical and emotional challenges in the thin air, as the ascent becomes a fight for survival.

The film is based on a true story but takes a lot of liberties when it comes to its characters. Despite the historical inaccuracies of the characters and storyline, the movie tells a fantastic story of adventure and possibility. The film will premiere in theaters on December 6th and will stream on Prime Video on December 20th. It is definitely worth watching in theaters. There are breathtaking scenes that are worthy of being seen on the big screen.  It’s an exciting adventure from beginning to end. Eddie Redmayne and Felicity Jones are spectacular in their roles.
