“Among Us” is an incredibly popular app and game right now. The astronaut crewmates are so simple in their design. Putting together an Among Us cosplay is pretty easy to throw together for Halloween. Since the crewmates are incredibly simple, the interpretation and creativity is a wide-open door!

Among Us gameplay
If you are unfamiliar with the game, it is a very simple task and betrayal type of game. You can play online with strangers or create a private game with your friends. There are 4-10 players, and one or two of them are the “imposters” while the rest are crewmates. Crewmates perform tasks on a spaceship while the imposter(s) are supposed to sabotage the ship and kill off crewmates. Crewmates have to decide who the imposter is and vote them off of the ship!
Among Us cosplay using regular clothes
Since the crewmates and imposters are all one color, creating an Among Us cosplay look with regular clothes is simple. The colors to choose from are: red, blue, green, pink, orange, yellow, black, white, purple, brown, cyan (light blue), lime (green), tan, and fortegreen (darker, forest green).
For ultimate comfort for your kids (and yourself!), a sweatshirt or long sleeve with matching sweats, leggings, or your bottoms of choice will do quite nicely. Brands like Hanes and Gildan have plain, primary color options for sweatshirts and sweatpants. Jumpsuits and rompers also work perfectly to create and ensure the solid-color look.
If you want to have a little more fun with your crewmate cosplay, then you do not have to go the exact matching route. @gibster5 on TikTok created an Among Us cosplay as “Blue.” In the video below, he wears denim overalls, a blue, plaid button-up shirt, and a blue beanie.

Using an astronaut costume
Another fun idea for creating Among Us cosplays is to use astronaut costumes. On Amazon, they are available in both children and adult sizes. The astronaut costumes in both adult and children’s sizes only come in blue, white, or orange. The white one can easily be dyed to become the color of your choice!
Helmet options
Now, your astronaut could use a helmet that pairs with the costume, and you’re crewmate would be complete! Another option would be using safety goggles or another type of costume goggles. Again, since Among Us characters are so simple, the interpretation is entirely up to you!
If you want to DIY a visor, then one can be cut out of cardboard or foam and painted. This one was cut from cardboard and painted with grey, blue, and white acrylic paint. Since I didn’t have black, I used a sharpie marker to draw and shade the outline.
This can be attached to a plastic headband with super glue or Gorilla Glue. Also, gluing Velcro to it as well can be another way to attach it to a headband or piece of clothing.
Optional hats
In the game, as you customize your astronaut crewmate, you can choose from different hats. There is such a variety, from toilet paper rolls, a stinky note that says “DUM,” a fez, to fried eggs, plant leaves, and cowboy hats. For Halloween, they included special themed hats. Pumpkins, cat ears, devil horns, a witch hat, and others are fun options! Let your creativity soar, here!
