Anne Yatco Interview at AnimeNYC

AnimeNYC took over the Javits Center in Midtown Manhattan for three days of fun and celebration of Japanese pop culture. Held from November 18-20, AnimeNYC is in its fifth year and boasts an impressive roster of entertainment guests, big name exhibitors, and even a food hall where attendees can try authentic Japanese food, from boba to bao. Among the guests in attendance this year was voice actor Anne Yatco.

Interview with Anne Yatco at AnimeNYC

We had the opportunity to talk to Anne Yatco about everything Jujutsu Kaisen related on Friday, November 18 at AnimeNYC.

We asked Anne what some of her favorite things about Nobara are. She said:

Is everything a good answer? She’s amazing. I love that when she walks in, she is a fully formed three-dimensional character. She already has such agency for herself–she doesn’t need to find it during the series, and I love that. Because […] that’s a common protag arc, finding the courage within. She’s already there.

We talked a bit about the upcoming season of Jujutsu Kaisen and asked Anne what she looked forward to seeing animated. She said:

I’m so excited to get to see more of the depth of characters–to really delve into Gojo’s backstory, because it explains so much about him. When you find out exactly where he’s coming from. […] You guys are in for a ride. I cannot wait!

Be sure to follow Anne on Twitter, Instagram, and TikTok!
