Growing up, Barbie and Polly Pocket played a significant role in her life, and this partnership is a celebration of shared milestones. Eckstein fondly remembers playing with Polly Pocket and embracing the nickname given to her due to her small stature. “Barbie has played an integral part in my childhood, in my upbringing,” Eckstein reminisces. “I was Barbie obsessed.” Mattel is also celebrating some big milestones: the 65th anniversary of Barbie, the 35th anniversary of Polly Pocket, and next year will be Mattel’s 80th anniversary.
