Celebrating Girl Genius
Ronan, the CEO of InkyPen, said:
“We love webcomics, but as a small business, it’s too many relationships and contracts to maintain. So we mostly work with larger publishers. Advantage of running our own thing is we get to make exceptions so, as fans, we put Girl Genius on there anyway.”
Usually, you’d only be able to find the free comic on the their website or through physical copies. However, as of today, InkyPen will be updating every single page from start to finish for free on Nintendo Switch. This means the whole series should be available within the next few days!
Lars Helgemo, a fan who works at InkyPen, says:
“If you’ve read a comic with villainous trains, superpowered soldiers with overdramatic German accents and hectic machines of all varieties, then you’ve probably read Girl Genius. If you haven’t, then you should probably read Girl Genius.”
New adventures for this steampunk comic
InkyPen is celebrating their comic venturing into an exciting new avenue for the brand with a video-game! The campaign for the Girl Genius: Adventures in Castle Heterodyne video-game hit its funding goal today and is now confirmed for development by Rain Games.
That’s not all! Now that the game is funded, the developers, Rain Games will use InkyPen’s technology to add a comic reader to the game. This means the game consoles that support the new game will also have the ability to read the comics.
