Anime Expo 2024 was a thrilling experience for anime fans, filled with exciting announcements from major companies. From upcoming video games to new anime series premieres, there was something for everyone.

Crunchyroll Expands its Impressive Lineup

Crunchyroll, a leading name in anime streaming, made several significant announcements during their panel. Fans were delighted to learn that the popular web series, Omniscient Reader, will be adapted into an anime, currently in production. Additionally, Yakuza Fiancé is set to join Crunchyroll’s lineup in October, with a sneak peek at the panel generating immense excitement. Producer Yoko Shiraishi and voice actor Kazuki Ura also took the stage to discuss Anyway, I’m Falling in Love with You, coming to Crunchyroll in January 2025.

HIDIVE Premieres a Host of New Titles

HIDIVE, another major player in anime streaming, presented a series of North American premieres. Among these were Loner from Another World, an isekai adventure simulcast premiering this fall; Dungeon People, a fantasy-comedy simulcast premiering this summer; and I Parry Everything!, a fantasy-adventure simulcast also premiering this summer. HIDIVE also hosted the world premiere of the comedy series Plus-Sized Elf, releasing this summer.

NIS America Unveils Reynatis, a New JRPG

NIS America made waves with the announcement of Reynatis, their latest JRPG. Created by Takumi, the game follows opposing factions of wizards hidden from society. With renowned scenario writer Kazushige Nojima and video game composer Yoko Shimomura on board, Reynatis is set to release on September 27th of this year.

Anime Expo: A Celebration of Anime Culture

Beyond the exciting announcements, Anime Expo 2024 was a vibrant celebration of anime culture. Attendees enjoyed cosplay, gaming demonstrations, and incredible booths. However, the highlight of the event was undoubtedly the numerous announcements that promise a wave of new anime series and games throughout the rest of this year and into 2025.
