Bryan Fuller Gives Hope for “Pushing Daisies” Season 3 and an Update on “Hannibal”

While promoting “Dust Bunny”, Bryan Fuller offered fans a hopeful update on a potential third season of his beloved, visually stunning series, “Pushing Daisies”. Fuller stated that a “Pushing Daisies” season three right now seems like it would happen faster than a “Hannibal” return.

“Pushing Daisies” Revival “Closer Than a Hannibal Return”

Fuller revealed he has a “Bible for season three” already written and that the entire original cast, including stars Lee Pace and Anna Friel, is eager to return.

“Pushing Daisy” season three right now seems like it would happen faster than a “Hannibal”. We’ve been talking to Warner brothers. The entire cast wants to come back. I wrote the Bible for season three and gave it to them. And hopefully, that comes to pass.

Before the recent industry strikes, Warner Bros. was enthusiastic about moving forward. The strikes seemed to cause some hesitation from the studio, noting they were unsure about having an audience for another season of the beloved show.

We’re at such a funny place in the industry that before the strikes, Warner brothers was like, “Yes, definitely let’s get this going.” And then after the strikes, they’re like, “We don’t know what anybody wants anymore because everybody is in such disarray.” So I’m hoping that Pushing Daisies, the plan that’s already drawn up, gets to come to fruition in some way.

He expressed his personal desire to work with the cast again, noting that before his passing, the late Paul Rubens had called him to ask about the revival. A conversation Fuller now regards as one of his “regrets about not doing it sooner.”

The Complicated Future of Hannibal

For the passionate Fannibals hoping for a return of the psychological horror series “Hannibal”, the path remains more difficult. Fuller confirmed that the rights for the series are “a little complicated now” because author Thomas Harris is attempting to consolidate the rights. This ongoing legal process makes any immediate plans for a new season or continuation of the story challenging.

I think the rights for “Hannibal” are a little complicated now because Thomas Harris is trying to get them all back and get them underneath one umbrella.

Focus on a New Film Chapter

Fuller’s debut feature, “Dust Bunny”, marks his return to the screen with a project that blends his signature style with Amblin-era adventure. Despite the uncertainty surrounding his past television works, Fuller remains hopeful that the industry will stabilize, allowing both the planned return to the world of Ned the Piemaker and the highly anticipated release of “Dust Bunny” on December 12, 2025.
