It’s been a rock-solid week for Captain Marvel. The superhero origin film starring Brie Larson has crossed the $500 million in ticket sales worldwide in its first week. Projections are showing that the film could bring in another $70 million to $80 million in its second week.
The film’s $153 million-dollar debut in North America is not too shabby and is the biggest opening weekend this year so far. Internationally, the film launched to the sum of a cool $455 million and is the sixth-biggest launch globally ever.

Captain Marvel is the 21st film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and these numbers helped push the franchise over 18 billion in ticket sales worldwide. With Avengers: Endgame hitting theaters in a little over a month, you can bet that the franchise will exceed 20 billion.
Speaking of Avengers: Endgame, Marvel Studios decided that they would give us another trailer to the highly anticipated film on Thursday.
The trailer starts off with images from the first Ironman, Captain America: The First Avenger, Captain America: Civil War, Thor, and Avengers: Infinity War. These scenes were accompanied with voiceovers from Tony Stark, Peggy Carter, Steve Rogers, and Thor and were shown in black and white with red being the only visible color. Then we get some new imagery from the upcoming film with the characters stating that they are going to try with whatever it takes. Goosebumps!!!
Finally, we see the Avengers walking down that hanger we have seen in all the trailers up to this point sporting some matching white uniforms that look very similar to the outfit Doctor Pym wore in Antman and the Wasp. We also see in this shot that Tony and Nebula make it to Earth. So, spoilers if anyone thought Tony was going to die on the Benatar.
Avengers: Endgame is set to release on April 26th. Stay tuned to templeofgeek.com for any more information that drops about the film.
Have you ever wondered Where In The World Is Carmen Sandiego. Well, the fine folks at Google Earth need your help to tracker her down. The Crown Jewels Caper is the first in a series of Carmen Sandiego games that you can play right now by heading to Google Earth on your phone or PC.
In this game, you can collect clues by talking to witnesses and traversing the globe to find where Carmen might be with the Crown Jewels of England. Just like previous games in the series, Google Earth is hoping that this will help people learn more about different parts of the world.
The game is relatively easy to complete but it is a cool way to introduce kids and adults to this 35-year-old franchise. Plus, Google promises that this won’t be the last time we hear from Carmen Sandiego. Head over to Google Earth now on your smart device or computer to play the game and see if you can track down the jewels!
