Cast and Crew Interviews for “Knights of the Zodiac” at SDCC

Roundtable interviews from San Diego Comic-Con with the cast of the live-action film Knights of The Zodiac. We spoke with cast members Madison Iseman and Diego Tinoco, screenwriters Matt Stuecken and Josh Campbell, as well as Director Tomasz Baginski, Producer Yoshi Ikezawa and Fight/Stunt director Andy Cheng.

Knights of the Zodiac

The live-action film Knights of The Zodiac is based on the Knights of the Zodiac: Saint Seiya animation series and the Japanese manga series Saint Seiya by Masami Kurumada. Five young warriors are recruited to be Knights of the Zodiac, an elite cosmic force dedicated to protecting the Greek goddess Athena and the planet Earth.

The film will star actors Mackenyu and Madison Iseman in the lead roles. Mackenyu is starring as Seiya, a street orphan and the main hero of the story.  Other cast members include actors Sean Bean (Lord of The Rings, Game of Thrones), Famke Janssen (X-Men Franchise), Nick Stahl, Diego Tinoco, and Mark Dacascos. Tomasz Baginski is directing the movie. Baginski most recently worked on The Witcher.

During the panel for the film at San Diego Comic-Con, they showed a preview of the stunt and action sequence work on the film and teased what some of these fight scenes would look like. No trailer for the film was played, and so far only artwork with a logo for the film has been revealed. The film is scheduled for a 2023 release date.
