Check out the cosplay from the Black Widow Worldwide Fan Events

Cosplay is this special universe where adults come together, put their egos aside, dress up as their favorite characters, and celebrate their favorite fandoms. In Melbourne, London, New York, and Los Angeles fans celebrated Natasha Romanoff aka Black Widow at four red-carpet fan events.

Although I believe the film deserved a much bigger and more spectacular red carpet event in multiple cities – and I’m sure it would have had one if not for this pandemic- it is nice to see Disney giving fans a chance to celebrate at these events. The events included an advance screening of Marvel Studios’ Black Widow and a surprise big-screen shout-out from Scarlett Johansson.

Host Vick Hope and Florence Pugh are joined by Scarlett Johansson on stage at Marvel Studios’ “Black Widow” world premiere fan event at Cineworld Leicester Square on June 29, 2021, in London, England.

London Event

Florence Pugh greeted fans in London. She stars in the film as Yelena Belova. Yelena is a product of the Red Room’s ruthless training program, the same program that trained Black Widow. In this film, she has a history with Black Widow that she is determined to address.

New York Fan Event

David Harbour (Stranger Things) was on the red carpet in New York with fans. He plays Alexei/ The Red Guardian in the film. The Red Guardian is the Red Room’s answer to Captain America. He is a super soldier and spy who gained his notoriety during the Cold War.

Hollywood Fan Event

In Los Angeles producer Kevin Feige, Marvel Studios’ president and chief creative officer, and Clark Gregg (who plays Phil Coulson in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and in the Marvel Cinematic Universe) joined fans in Hollywood.

Melbourne Fan Event

Fans in Melbourne enjoyed a virtual Q and A with Director Cate Shortland.

Black Widow—the first film in Phase Four of the Marvel Cinematic Universe—will launch simultaneously in theaters and on Disney+ with Premier Access in most Disney+ markets on July 9, 2021.
