Day of the Devs, a non-profit celebrating and bolstering independent games in the industry, makes it’s return this summer. Description: Please, Watch The Artwork is a casual yet eerie liminal experience where you spot the differences in paintings during your night shift at the MaMA, the Museum of Animated Modern Art. Your job is simple: watch the paintings and report any anomalies. However, these are not your everyday artworks. They are alive (tableaux vivants) and there is a mysterious sad clown, whose sorrow quietly spreads to the other paintings. What is Day of the Devs?

Day of the Devs, established in 2012, is a nonprofit organization focused on bringing care and attention to smaller development teams, and to give back to the community at large. A collaboration between Double Fine Productions and iam8bit, their mission is “to celebrate the creativity, diversity and magic of video games, give a voice to emerging or underrepresented talent, and to connect players with developers, and their games.”

Day of the Devs is a free platform for developers to show off their work, and as a nonprofit is reliant on sponsors, donations, and community support. They are also now officially a 501(c)(3) Non-Profit Organization.
