“Descendants: Wicked Wonderland” explores what “happily ever after” really means for Red (Cantrall) and Chloe (Baker) following their time-traveling adventures in the 2024 hit film “Descendants: The Rise of Red.” Set primarily in present-day Wonderland with a host of new and familiar characters, this sequel delves into the warning at the end of the previous movie: There are consequences when you alter the fabric of time. As Uma said, “Getting what you want can be dangerous.”

When we first met Red, she was a royal who couldn’t care less about being a princess. All she wants was freedom to choose her life and who she wants to be. Not who her mother wants her to be. In the fifth installment will Red finally have the freedom she always wanted? And how will she adjust to going from only child to older sister?

Chloe always thought she knew what it meant to be a good person and a villain. She followed the rules. Now she’s learned sometimes you gotta get your hands dirty when it means protecting someone you love. How much has Chloe’s life changed? Time will tell. Hopefully, they won’t be too late to find out in time.
