Live-Action Magic: ‘Lilo & Stitch’ Kicks Off Previews
After highlighting The Walt Disney Studios’ record-breaking 2024 performance, Cripps launched the 2025 presentation with footage from “Lilo & Stitch,” the live-action reimagining of the 2002 animated classic. Opening May 23, the film, directed by Dean Fleischer Camp (“Marcel the Shell with Shoes On”), stars newcomer Maia Kealoha alongside Sydney Elizebeth Agudong, Zach Galifianakis, and Chris Sanders reprising his voice role. Elle Fanning, star of 20th Century Studios’ “Predator: Badlands,” joined Cripps to debut the first trailer for the Dan Trachtenberg-directed film. Set for a November 7 release, this newest entry sees Fanning’s character ally with an outcast Predator on a remote planet.

In a surprise appearance, Jeremy Allen White (as Bruce Springsteen) and Jeremy Strong (as manager Jon Landau) gave attendees a first look at 20th Century Studios’ “Deliver Me from Nowhere.” The Scott Cooper-directed film chronicles the making of Springsteen’s seminal 1982 album, “Nebraska.”

Jamie Lee Curtis returned alongside Emma Mackey to promote 20th Century Studios’ “Ella McCay,” a new comedy written and directed by James L. Brooks, slated for September 19. Marvel Studios Assembles Stars and First Families

Ke Huy Quan took the stage next, sharing two clips from Disney Animation’s Zootopia 2.” Quan, voicing Gary De’Snake, revealed that Quinta Brunson joins the cast as therapist Dr. Fuzzby. The film is releasing on November 26. The sequel sees Judy Hopps (Ginnifer Goodwin) and Nick Wilde (Jason Bateman) track a mysterious reptile shaking up the metropolis.
Return to Pandora: James Cameron Caps Presentation with ‘Avatar: Fire and Ash’ Sneak Peek
Concluding the presentation, Alan Bergman introduced a taped message from James Cameron regarding “Avatar: Fire and Ash.” Zoe Saldaña then returned to introduce a stunning sneak peek at the third film in the blockbuster franchise. Film is set to open worldwide on December 19.
