Today, September 15, Disney finally released an official The Mandalorian season two trailer. Fans have been waiting what feels like forever for a trailer. Once the release date of October 30th was announced, it was only a matter of time an official trailer would follow suit! While most of us were hoping it would have come sooner, perhaps we (and Disney) should have waited a little bit longer.
What we see in The Mandalorian season two trailer
First off, the scenery is of course stunning. The trailer opens with Din Djarin’s (The Mandalorian, played by Pedro Pascal) ship flying over a moon towards a planet. With each scene change, we get a glimpse of what looks like different planets. We hear The Armorer’s (played by Emily Swallow) lines from last season about reuniting The Child with its own kind, and the Mandalorian needs to seek out “ancient sorcerers” to do so. For a moment, we get a glance of Ahsoka Tano (played by Sasha Banks)! Can we assume she is the Jedi Din Djarin will seek out to help with The Child? We do not see Boba Fett in this trailer, which was a tad disappointing.
The trailer felt a little rushed and more like a teaser than an official trailer. No new lines, no new story-line updates. Using the words of The Armorer from last season worked with the shots they gave us, but those lines did not give us any new information. Is it safe to believe that Disney will give us another trailer with a little more meat and new lines will come soon? This is the way.
What did you think of the trailer? We want to know!
