Shane Paul McGhie on Horror and High Stakes in “DO NOT ENTER”
Q: Did anything about fear and risk change in your perception after doing the film?
Shane Paul McGhie: It felt really real. I’ve never done a horror before. And I think being able to like be in the environment, but also like realize, “Oh, I’m still scared, even though I know what’s going to happen.” I’m still scared. Hopefully, that translates to the screen and the audience.
Q: Was there ever a time where you did something in the film that was maybe not your normal comfort zone that you had to tackle?
Shane Paul McGhie: We have like this kind of climactic bit where we’re all squeezed together in a tight space and we have to act like something’s going on. I don’t want to spoil it, but that was a new experience for me for sure.
The urban exploration horror-thriller DO NOT ENTER hits theaters and on digital this Friday, March 20, 2026. Based on the acclaimed novel Creepers by David Morrell, the film follows a group of thrill-seekers whose livestream from the abandoned Paragon Hotel turns into a fight for survival against supernatural forces.
