The TARDIS Lands in Florida

After a few weeks in Disneyland, the TARDIS said “Take me to Florida” and has now appeared in Disney Springs! Disney Springs, the shopping and entertainment district in the Walt Disney World resort area, often hosts photo ops for different shows and movies released on Disney+ and now it’s Doctor Who’s turn!

Now through June 3rd, you can snap a picture with the TARDIS, located between the Orange Garage and the AMC movie theater in Disney Springs.

Missy: Bad Influence

Meanwhile, Missy is back for another round of full-cast audio dramas from Big Finish! Released earlier this week, “Missy: Bad Influence” marks the return of Michelle Gomez to her iconic role as Missy. This set of stories focuses on, what else?, Missy’s ability to influence those around her for the worst to get what she wants!

The three stories are “Missy and the Time Assassin” by David Quantick, “Bad Apples Brigade” by Freddie Valdosta, and “The Baron Robbers” by Lou Morgan. Guest cast members include Paterson Joseph (Wonka, The Leftovers), Natalie Gumede (Titans, Doctor Who “Last Christmas”), and Rupert Vansittart (Game of Thrones, Andor) among others.

Michelle Gomez had this to say about her return to the  audio world of Doctor Who:

“I’m always happy to return to the world of MIssy and the silly, wonderful nonsense that she gets up to. She’s like a cat. I love cats, and I wanna pet cats, but I know that at any minute they could turn on me. She toys with people- manipulates, charms, and toys- and I’m sure one of these days, she’s gonna get her comeuppance.”

“The Worlds of Doctor Who- Missy: Bad Influence” is available now from Big Finish’s website both as a collector’s edition CD set and a digital download.

Time War Uncharted: Reflections

Additionally, the Eighth Doctor’s Time War story continues in a new series from Big Finish. “Doctor Who: Time War Uncharted: Reflections” continues the story from the “Doctor Who: Time War” series with the Eighth Doctor as played by Paul McGann.

Specifically, these stories will continue the storylines started in “Time War 5” which saw the introduction of the Doctor’s great-grandson Alex (Sonny McGann) to the TARDIS and… Cass? Cass Fermazzi (Emma Campbell-Jones) was first introduced in the 2013 minisode “The Night of the Doctor” where it appeared to be her first (and last!) time meeting the Doctor. But in a Time War, few things are apparently as they ever seem.

“The Doctor and his great-grandson Alex have been reunited amidst the Time War. Splintered timelines draw them ever closer to another fellow traveler. Does Cass’s destiny lie in the TARDIS?

As the Time War rages, the Doctor enters uncharted territory- where any ‘friends’ they might meet might not be what they seem…”The four stories in “Reflections” are “Nowhere, Never” by Katharine Armitage, “The Road Untravelled” by Tim Foley, “Cass-cade” by James Moran, and “Borrow or Rob” by Tim Foley. “Time War Uncharted: Reflections” is due for release this October and is available for pre-order from Big Finish’s website now.
