Are you a fan of the long time anime favorite Dragon Ball? Do you love the music that’s become iconic throughout the series? Good news! The moment U.S. anime fans have anxiously anticipated has finally arrived with today’s announcement that the “Dragon Ball Symphonic Adventure” will officially premiere on May 21st in Los Angeles at Microsoft Theater.

Created and produced by Overlook Events, the “Dragon Ball Symphonic Adventure” is a one-of-a-kind concert experience that originally debuted in Paris, France in October 2018. It was part of a transcontinental tour celebrating the 30th anniversary of Dragon Ball in Europe. It combines scenes and sounds of Dragon Ball together with live vocals, a 60-piece orchestra, and the music of legendary Japanese composer, Shunsuke Kikuchi, to create a truly immersive multimedia event for anime fans. Both VIP and General Admission tickets to the May 21st premiere of go on sale Friday, March 11th at 10 am Pacific Time on AXS.com. Los Angeles is the first stop on the U.S. tour. Future cities and dates will be announced.

Produced by Toei Animation, the Dragon Ball anime franchise encompasses four TV series. These include “Dragon Ball,” “Dragon Ball Z,” “Dragon Ball GT” and “Dragon Ball Super.” There are also 20 feature films – which will increase to 21 with the release of “Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero” in the summer of 2022.
Based on its “Narrative Symphonic Experience” concept, Overlook Events combines a symphony orchestra, rock instruments, and live vocals together with sound effects and lights synchronized to a compilation of Dragon Ball videos. These are projected onto giant screens to create the “Dragon Ball Symphonic Adventure.” The end result is a concert experience that achieves both a musical and technical mastery that is incredibly rare in an industry dominated by cinematic concerts.
