What can Star Wars fans expect at D23 2024? D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event takes place this year August 9-11 at the Anaheim Convention Center and the Honda Center. This sold-out event has something for all Disney fans- including some neat Star Wars focused events and experiences!

Star Wars D23 2024 Panels & Events

Friday, August 9th

With Star Wars Celebration Europe last year and SWC Japan happening next April, there may not be a ton of Star Wars news at D23 2024, but it’s likely we’ll still get something! The Disney Entertainment Showcase at the Honda Center from 7pm-9pm is set to cover many areas of shows and movies made by the company. Skeleton Crew is due to release later this year, according to Collider . In addition, Andor season 2 is approaching soon, too! There is also the possibility of a tease of the LEGO Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy animated special, releasing September 13th.

Sunday, August 11th

Every D23, Disney honors those who have contributed to the company’s legacy with the Disney Legends Awards Ceremony. This year, three of the honorees include Star Wars legends. Just touching on their impact on Star Wars, these include:

• Harrison Ford, who portrayed the scruffy-looking nerf herder Han Solo in the original trilogy of films and two of the sequel trilogy movies.
• Frank Oz, the puppeteer and voice of Jedi Master Yoda across many Star Wars projects.
• John Williams, who scored all nine of the main Skywalker Star Wars films and gave us so many iconic, beautiful moments of music.

The ceremony will take place from 5pm-7pm at the Honda Center. Fans who have Anaheim Convention Center-only tickets can watch a simulcast at the Premiere Stage.

Star Wars D23 2024 Pavilions & Experiences

Lucasfilm Ltd. Pavilion

With multiple times each day of D23, Lucasfilm will invite fans to Experience ILM StageCraft™. Held at the Lucasfilm Ltd. pavilion, attendees will be treated to demonstrations of the technology that helped bring projects such as The Mandalorian and Ahsoka to life. These presentations will also include guests such as Doug Chiang, Lucasfilm’s Senior Vice President & Executive Design Director. Members of the creature team from Legacy Effects will also be in attendance.

On Friday, August 9th,  Experience ILM StageCraft™ showtimes are 10am, 12pm, 2pm, and 4pm. Saturday, August 10th will have presentations at 10am, 12pm, and 2pm. Fans attending on Sunday, August 11th can also experience this at 10am, 12pm, and 2pm.

Other Pavilions & Experiences

Star Wars may also have a home in the Disney+pavilion. This show floor experience is set to invite fans in with themed photo ops and surprises. Fans will get to “step into worlds of new and favorite stories”.

World of Disney: The Product Experience will also feature Star Wars products and interactive experiences.

Star Wars D23 2024 Signings

Fans will be able to meet actor Daniel Logan at the Talent Central location. The actor is known to Star Wars fans as the young Boba Fett in Episode II: Attack of the Clones. He has also appeared in Clone Wars, LEGO Star Wars, The Book of Boba Fett, and The Bad Batch. You can catch Daniel Logan two times over the weekend: Friday August 9th from 11:45am-12:45pm or Sunday August 11th from 11:30am-12:30pm.

Also on Friday, Artist Alex Riegert-Waters will meet with fans. The artist has a new Star Wars Dark Side collection launching at D23 Expo! Catch him at the Live at World of Disney: The Product Experience from 2pm-3pm.

Ashley Eckstein will be singing copies of a new book written by Sunny Chanel (who will also be at the signing) with a forward by Ashley. The book, Bring the Magic Home: An Exploration of Deign Inspired by Disney Parks may not be Star Wars-focused, but Ashley Eckstein is, of course, the voice actress for Ahsoka Tano. The signing will take place on Sunday, August 11 from 1:45pm-2:45pm at Talent Central. Those who wish to have the book signed will need to purchase it ahead of time at the World of Disney: The Product Experience.
