Curious where to find everything Star Wars at New York Comic Con 2024? Here is your guide to panels, experiences, meetups, and guests related to a galaxy far, far away. NYCC 2024 will take place from October 17-20, 2024. As of publishing this article, limited Thursday tickets remain!
Star Wars NYCC Panels
Thursday, October 17
NYCC’s Family HQ: Workshops 1E01 will host The Way of the Jedi: Lessons in Mindfulness from 3:30-4:30pm. At this family-friendly workshop, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (in full Jedi garb!) will guide attendees in lessons in mindfulness. Quotes from Star Wars episodes 1-6 will be used to highlight these practices and characters that can be learned from.
Star Wars fans at NYCC 2024 may also be interested in From Page to Screen: Authors on Adaptations from 8-9pm in Room 1B02. Guests include Star Wars authors John Jackson Miller (A New Dawn, Star Wars: The Living Force) and Steven Barnes (Star Wars: Mace Windu: The Glass Abyss) among others. The panel will discuss both page-to-screen adaptations and books inspired by movies and tv shows.
Friday, October 18th
The LUCASFILM PUBLISHING: Star Wars: Stories from a Galaxy Far, Far Away returns on Friday of NYCC from 3:30-4:30pm in Room 406.1. No specific guests have been announced yet, but authors from all eras of Star Wars will be in attendance. The panel will discuss recent releases and reveal what’s next for Star Wars books for fans of all ages.
Following their panel, the authors will be in Hall 1A to meet fans and sign copies of their books from 4:45-5:45pm. Fans may bring their own copies or purchase books from the nearby Barnes & Noble booth in the same hall.
Saturday, October 19th
Star Wars Comics with Dark Horse and Lucasfilm Publishing will take place from 1:45-2:45pm in Room 406.2. New and upcoming releases will be discussed, including teases for what’s next in the world of Star Wars comics. Guests will include Alyssa Wong (Doctor Aphra), Cavan Scott (Tales from the Rancor’s Pit), Daniel José Older (Star Wars: The High Republic), Harvey Tolibao, and Rachael Stott (The Monster of Temple Peak). The panel will also include Michael Siglain from Lucasfilm Publishing.
The George Lucas Talk Show will perform from 3:15-4:15pm in Room 406.2. Hosted by comedian Connor Ratliff (The Marvelous Mrs Maisel) appearing as Star Wars creator George Lucas, the show has been around since 2014 and started streaming on Twitch in 2020. Also appearing is Griffin Newman (The Tick) as George’s sidekick Watto and show producer Patrick Cotnoir (The Chris Gethard Show). Also appearing at this NYCC show are Jeffery Brown (Darth Vader and Son), Rahul Kohli (The Fall of the House of Usher), and Zach Cherry (Severance).
Star Wars Experiences
Have you (or your younglings) ever wanted to learn some lightsaber fundamentals? If you’re a Star Wars fan at NYCC 2024 then you’re in luck! Once again, the Saber Guild: Empire Temple will be offering both kid and adult lightsaber classes.
For adults (ages 13 and up), you must sign up at the Saber Guild Booth in Cosplay Central (located in the River Pavilion) in advance to participate. The Saber Guild Adult Training in the River Pavilion sessions are as follows:
- Thursday, October 17, 2pm-3:30pm
- Friday, October 18, 4:45pm-6:15pm
- Saturday, October 19, 11:15am-12:45pm
- Sunday, October 20, 11am-12:30pm
If you have a youngling (ages 6-12) who would light to learn some saber skills, the River Pavilion will also host the Padawan Training Institute at the following times:
- Thursday, October 17, 3:45-4:45pm
- Friday, October 18, 3:15pm-4:15pm
- Saturday, October 19, 2:15pm-3:15pm
- Sunday, October 20, 12:45pm-1:45pm
Star Wars NYCC 2024 Meetups
The Fifth Annual Star Wars cosplay meetup will happen on Saturday, October 19th at 2pm. Star Wars fans at NYCC 2024 (cosplaying or not!) can join the fun by meeting up by the stairs just outside of the Main Stage exit. This area is also right outside of the Food Court at the Javits.

Star Wars Movie Guests
Andy Serkis is a late-breaking addition to the NYCC lineup this year! For Star Wars, Serkis is known as the voice and motion capture artist for the sequel trilogy baddie Supreme Leader Snoke. He will be in attendance Saturday and Sunday of the con with photo ops and autographs available to fans.
John Boyega, Finn (aka FN-2187) will be in attendance at NYCC 2024! The stormtrooper-turned-rebel in the sequel trilogy met a plethora of original trilogy characters and became a close friend to Rey. Will we get to see him in the upcoming Rey movie? John Boyega will be at NYCC on Saturday only for photo ops and autographs.
Mads Mikkelsen has been involved in many geeky shows and movies, but for Star Wars he appeared as Galen Erso in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. Erso, father to Jyn Erso, was an integral part of the creation of the first Death Star and ultimately engineered a way to take it down. Mads Mikkelsen will be at NYCC on Saturday and Sunday. Photo ops and autographs will be available, and he will be part of the Hannibal panel on Sunday.
Paul Bettany is perhaps better known to geeky fans for his time with Marvel, but also appears as Crimson Dawn’s figurehead Dryden Vos in Solo: A Star Wars Story. He will be at NYCC Friday and Saturday for photo ops and autographs.
Star Wars TV and Video Game Guests
Cameron Monaghan is the actor for Cal Kestis in Respawn Entertainment’s Jedi games. An Order 66 survivor, Cal’s journey has taken gamers through Jedi: Fallen Order, Jedi: Survivor, and a yet-to-be-named but confirmed third and final game in the series. Cameron Monaghan will be at NYCC on Thursday and Friday in Hall 1A for autographs and in the photo studio for photo ops.
Freddie Prinze Jr. is known to Star Wars fans as the voice of Kanan Jarrus in the animated show Star Wars: Rebels. Also an Order 66 survivor, Kanan became an important part of the rebellion against the Empire and Master to Ezra Bridger. Freddie Prinze Jr. will be in attendance on Saturday and Sunday for photo ops and autographs!
Show Floor Guests
In addition to guests invited by New York Comic Con, a few exhibitors on the show floor will also have Star Wars guests.
Ashley Eckstein is, of course, known and loved as the voice of Ahsoka Tano in Star Wars: The Clone Wars and other animated projects for the franchise. She will appear at the 7 Bucks a Pop (Booth #1018) booth on all four days of NYCC for autographs.
Jim Cummings has had a huge and long-running voice acting career, but for Star Wars fans he is best known as the voice of the pirate Hondo Ohnaka in various projects. He will also be appearing at the 7 Bucks a Pop booth all four days of NYCC.
Keone Young has also had a wide-ranging acting career including the voice of Commander Sato in Star Wars: Rebels and various voices in Star Wars: Visions. Star Wars fans at NYCC 2024 will be able to meet him at the Lost4Toys Pop Culture Shop booth (#2179) all four days of NYCC.
