Riot Games’ League of Legends trading card game, Riftbound, is about to celebrate the launch of its third set. Unleashed is the 220-card expansion that features a variety of new playable Legends, cards, and Battlefields. Also, there are some new abilities and keywords to build your decks around.
Temple of Geek’s exclusive three preview cards feature two commons and one uncommon, each showing off at least one of the new abilities. The new abilities, including Hunt, Ambush, and XP, all help further capture the feel of an actual League of Legends match. Check them out below.
Exclusive Preview Cards
Soul Sword is a common Equipment Gear that gives a Unit +1 Might when equipped, and increases in power the more XP you have. To gain XP, you’ll have to conquer or hold a Battlefield using a Unit with the Hunt ability.
That’s where Herald of Spring comes in. Herald of Spring is a 4-Energy 1-Power cost Unit that not only has the Hunt ability, but also gains you 2 XP when you play it.
Finally, we have Gustwalker, a 3-Energy 1-Power cost Unit that utilizes both Hunt and the Level mechanic.
The full set will feature plenty of synergy with these new keywords. New deck strategies are ready to be discovered. Unleashed is Riftbound’s third expansion, after Origins and Spiritforged. It features 12 new playable Legends, such as Kha’Zix and Lillia. It is also the first set to have a repeat character appear as a Legend in Master Yi. Riftbound Unleashed releases on April 10 in China and on May 8 in English.
