Final FREE Doctor Who Lockdownload from Big Finish Productions

Big Finish’s series of lockdownloads goes out with a bang, as the first part of classic Doctor Who adventure, “Robophobia,” is made available for FREE this week. Since the beginning of the lockdown imposed by the coronavirus crisis, Big Finish has been releasing weekly FREE DOWNLOADS of audio dramas –or #lockdownloads–for a limited time.

Every Monday for the past thirteen weeks, a new story (or episode from a box set collection) has been made available to download exclusively from the Big Finish web site’s Weekly Deals page. This final download can be unlocked by anyone who has registered for a Big Finish account (which is free to create) and played on the Big Finish listening app (which is free to install). This download will be available for one week only, and comes accompanied by a special discount offer on related titles.

Free Big Finish Download: “Robophobia” part 1

Listeners can download part one of this story FREE from now until 23:59 (UK time) 05 July 2020 at the Big Finish website.

Starring Sylvester McCoy as the Doctor, and introducing Nicola Walker as fan favorite Liv Chenka, Doctor Who: “Robophobia” was originally released in July 2011 and is a sequel to the TV adventure “The Robots of Death.”

Nothing has ever been officially confirmed, but there is a rumor that on a Sandminer bound for Kaldor City, the robots somehow turned homicidal and nearly wiped out the entire crew. Can that really be true? The robot transport ship Lorelei has a cargo of over a hundred fifty-seven thousand robots on board, all deactivated. So even if there were any truth in the rumor of that massacre, there’d still be no danger. Surely, there wouldn’t…But then, the Doctor witnesses a murder.
