There are a lot of reasons we are obsessed with the Amazon Original series The Boys. And while some people might say their reasons include the superb acting, excellent casting, and writing, our reasons also include the fashion. Take, for example, Frenchie’s paisley crew neck sweatshirt seen in season two, episode four of The Boys.
The statement-making sweatshirt from Stüssy is made from soft terry cotton and has an allover paisley print. Pullover design cut with a relaxed fit with dropped long sleeves and ribbed trim at the crew neck, cuffs, and hem. There is a Stüssy logo graphic at the chest. Stüssy is an American clothing brand that was created in the early 1980s by Shawn Stussy. The brand gained popularity and was largely been adopted by the surf, skateboard, and hip-hop scenes of Southern California.
Originally available from Urban Outfitters, the sweatshirt is already sold out. Urban Outfitters is a Philadelphia based retailer that focuses on Urban Outfitters, Inc., offers lifestyle-oriented general merchandise and has 248 stores in the United States, Canada, and Europe. Currently, your best chance of locating it would be to try calling Urban Outfitters stores in an attempt to locate it or reseller apps like Poshmark, Depop, eBay, and the like.
It makes a lot of sense that Frenchie (portrayed by Tomer Kapon) would be wearing clothing by Stüssy. Frenchie has a worldly street style that speaks to comfort, functionality, and a little bit of eccentricity.
His eccentricity can also be seen in season two episode three “Over The Hill With the Swords of a Thousand Men” where he is seen wearing a shirt inspired by the British television series Doctor Who. Frenchie’s cat shirt is inspired by the lead character of the show.
The Boys are a vigilante group who, in a world where Superheroes are revered and beloved celebrities, have joined together to destroy a corrupt group of superheroes known as The Seven. Israeli actor Tomer Kapon plays Frenchie who is one of the main characters on The Boys.
The second season of THE BOYS premiered with the first three episodes on Friday, September 4th. Afterward, new episodes will be available each Friday until the season finale on October 9th.
