Starting in 2019, we began hosting an annual Punk Cosplay Meet-up inspired by Doctor Who. The meetups have taken place at the Doctor Who-themed convention, Gallifrey One. Gallifrey One is the longest-running Doctor Who convention in the world.

This event gives cosplayers the opportunity to add a little bit of style and individuality to their cosplay. They can take cosplay a step further and make it uniquely their own.

If you’re new to the idea of cosplay, then cosplay is simply a play on the words “costume” and “roleplay.” It is the activity of dressing up as a fictional character or pop culture icon. Similar to the way that people dress up on Halloween, but with cosplay, you can dress up any time of year and anywhere you feel comfortable. You can dress up in the comfort of your own home, out at the conventions, or at special events.

2022 Punk Meet Up at Gallifrey One
There was no punk Cosplay Meet up in 2021 because of the pandemic. But it was back in 2022 as cosplayer and Temple of Geek contributor @Christina.Is.Crafty hosted the 3rd annual Punk Cosplay Meet up at Gallifrey One. A Facebook event was created in order to let attendees of Gallifrey One know about the meetup. It took place on the last day of the 3-day convention.
