Georgia and David Tennant host a Doctor Who themed quiz

On Tuesday evening (London time), David and Georgia Tennant, also known as the 10th Doctor and his daughter Jenny, hosted The Marie Curie Celebrity Quiz – Doctor Who edition to raise money. Streaming one and a half hours from their home, the couple asked 40 questions about old and new Who, with David dressed in the iconic Tardis sweater. Marie Curie receives 98% of the donations raised that evening. For those of you who don’t know, Marie Curie is a registered charitable organization, located in the United Kingdom. They provide care and support to people with terminal illnesses and their families. The donations will help the hard-working nurses continue their important work in hospices, deliver services, and get the materials they need, especially during the pandemic.

Doctor Who Quiz Time!

At the beginning of the quiz, Georgia asked who her favorite Doctor is. Would it be her husband or her father? Or someone completely different? As the couple welcomed Georgia’s father to the stream, Peter Davison greeted his daughter with the words: “Hi. It’s your favorite Doctor.” A hint?

Peter Davison, the 5th Doctor, asked questions about his time as the Doctor and about the 20th-anniversary special he was in along with his predecessors. Georgia tried to get out of answering the question by stating that she wasn’t born at the time when the special aired, to which David replied: “That’s no excuse!” (And he’s right!)

Bringing on some familiar faces for a good cause

During the 5 rounds, the couple welcomed guests to their stream from Doctors, companions, and a former showrunner. While the round with John Barrowman and Matt Smith was dedicated to general Doctor Who knowledge, Russel T Davis and Jodie Whitaker asked questions that were dedicated to the Christmas Specials. Catherine Tate, Billie Piper, Peter Capaldi, and the former mentioned ended their pre-recorded messages with Christmas wishes to Whovians. They expressed their gratefulness towards Marie Curie and their nurses.

After every round of questions, Georgia was reading out shout-outs for donators to say thank you, with David commenting and also singing along occasionally. After the quiz, a bonus round with four questions gave participants the possibility to win a personal recorded video message from the Tennants. The stream ended with the reveal of Georgia’s favorite Doctor. It’s neither her father nor her husband. Her Doctor is:
