Interview with “The Wheel of Time” VFX Producer Brian Shows at NYCC 2023

The Prime Video hit fantasy series The Wheel of Time has recently completed its critically acclaimed second season. Fans of the show are eagerly awaiting Season Three, and the show’s creative team has revealed some exciting details about what to expect.

At New York Comic-Con, showrunner Rafe Judkins revealed that Season Three will focus primarily on the storylines from Book Four, with elements of Book Five. He also teased that audiences will get to meet additional members of the Forsaken and that the forthcoming season will explore Dreamwalking, an ability to enter the dreams of others.

At the New York Comic-Con panel for The Wheel of Time, executive producer Marigo Kehoe, VFX supervisor Andy Scrase, and VFX producer Brian Shows. They talked to Damian Holbrook of TV Guide Magazine about the complex visual effects in Season Two. They also showed a VFX highlight reel exclusively for the NYCC audience.

During a roundtable interview, Shows answered questions from journalists about his work on the series.

The second season of The Wheel of Time is now on Prime Video. The third season is currently in production and is expected to premiere in 2024.
