LA Comic Con was a fun, eventful, and nerd filled weekend. With incredible panels, phenomenal artists and exhibitors, and fellow nerds, it was truly a remarkable experience. LA Comic Con hit records this weekend with 126,600 attendees. This is the highest number of attendees in the convention’s history. More than 850 vendors and artists were present making sure that there was something for everyone. Every fandom was represented through merch, art, figurines, and collectibles.
This was an incredible weekend for nerds. Also, the event’s mainstage was sponsored by Tilify, and together they raised money for World Central Kitchen, a non-profit organization that’s first to provide chef-prepared fresh meals at the frontlines in response to community crises.
“It is always such a delight and privilege for us to welcome the world’s best fans back to LA Comic Con,” said Chris DeMoulin, CEO at Comikaze Entertainment, LA Comic Con’s parent company. Chris went on to say:
“We work hard to bring the city of LA the pop culture festival it DESERVES as the dynamic entertainment capital of the world. Our goal is to bring in guests, vendors and programming which appeal to the widest variety of nerd interests and fandoms, and we all truly appreciate the opportunity to gather again safely in person. Seeing so many costumed and enthusiastic fans line up at the entry each day and jump into action the moment the doors open is exactly the kind of energy that drives us to continue creating such immersive experiences for fans, talent, and vendors alike.”
Panels included nostalgia with the cast of Jimmy Neutron and The Sandlot. Nerd culture was represented from past and present, from Sean Astin and Elijah Wood of The Lord of the Rings to the cast of The Boys. Fans were also treated to the depths of space with William Shatner and Wil Wheaton. It was truly an unforgettable weekend, and we look forward to what next year holds.
