Warner Bros. Games and DC will unleash LEGO Batman™: Legacy of the Dark Knight on the world on May 29, 2026, for PlayStation®5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (Steam and Epic Games Store). Players can secure their copy starting tonight (Dec. 11) at 8 p.m. PST, when pre-orders for the Standard and Deluxe Editions go live.
The announcement electrified The Game Awards audience with a special guest appearance: LEGO Batman himself presented the news live from the Batcave. He then debuted the action-packed “Heroes & Villains” trailer, offering the first look at the game’s dynamic gameplay featuring a roster of playable DC Super Heroes and their notorious foes.
Gotham’s Heroes Mobilize
The Caped Crusader spearheads the mission to save Gotham City, but he won’t fight alone. Players will join a team of fully-equipped heroes, each bringing unique combat styles to the fight. Robin utilizes his trusty line launcher, Nightwing wields his precision battle staff, Batgirl sports her versatile hackarang, and Catwoman fights with her signature whip and loyal companion kitten. Each hero features their own unique abilities, progression trees, combos, and gadgets, ensuring diverse and engaging gameplay.

The game, developed by TT Games, is a new open-world action-adventure title that immerses players in Bruce Wayne’s epic journey from origin to legend. This story, inspired by decades of Batman lore across film, television, comics, and games, follows Wayne as he trains with The League of Shadows, becomes the hero of Gotham City, and forges a new family of allies including Robin, Nightwing, Batgirl, Jim Gordon, Catwoman, and Talia al Ghul.

These allies each bring unique skills and signature gadgets, which players use to uncover crimes, complete challenges, and explore an immersive Gotham City full of secrets and surprises. Players will confront an ever-growing threat from across Batman’s Rogues Gallery, facing off against The Joker, The Penguin, Mr. Freeze, Poison Ivy, Ra’s al Ghul, Bane, and more.
