Crunchyroll Presents Makoto Shinkai’s Suzume
Suzume is a story of Japan standing on the brink of disaster. However, a determined teenager named Suzume sets out on a mission to save her country. Able to see supernatural forces that others cannot, it’s up to her to close the mysterious doors that are spreading chaos across the land. A perilous journey awaits as the fate of Japan rests on her shoulders.
Variety reported that the film earned $4.46 million in its fourth week of release, according to data from Kobis. However the film has made $138 million worldwide since its release in November 11, 2022 (Japan).
The film will be released in the US on April 14th, 2023 on Crunchyroll and in select theaters. In theaters across the US, an English dub will be screened along with the original Japanese version.
